A corner of MY oWn

Yeah, it was a pretty interesting and exciting and challenging experience for me that very night.One word to describe….unforgettable!

"Ann,we’re still stuck in a jam". Those was mom’s words and it definitely did make me went blank a bit…"SO?" whats the point here….. yup, i was supposed to cook dinner that Tues(11/9) night.with a very limited timeframe,45 min, this is crazy!coz Wei’s got to attend tuition at 8. I wonder, was it because its Sept11,rain couldnt just stop pouring to remind us of this pityful day.

ohok..i was busy planning my kitchen work then. You all know lar,people like me with limited cooking and surviving skills,we need time. what could be your best ‘dish’? Definitely CANNED FOOD will be your best pals lar -baked beans!!! - Yup, like normal preparing every ingredients to be "thrown" into the red red sweet sweet yummy yummy bakes beans and gravy, then just when i was almost there performing my final and most important step happily- "COMBINATION OF THE BEANS CHICKEN AND POTATOES " …SUDDENLY….."POOP" everything turn out black, (eih not my dish ah….) i couldnt see my beans in the wok!!! i couldnt even see my own hands!!!… all i can see was a round black shape(the wok)  with blue flames (cooking fire)around it…."GREAT!!!now WHAT?” …how am i suppose to finish "mission impossible" like that? ……haha, then Luckily, wei came back just in time and he manage to grab hold of his phone to contribute just the source of light that we really needed. Searching and searching for candles.

Oh guess what,just went i manage to place a lighted candle just beside the cooking stove, it rained heavily suddenly. The rain drops were ‘hentam’ming the roof planks above our exteranal cooking area and you can feel that its really going to rain cats and dogs out there. Now, the funny point here is like in the cartoon, imagine Tom&Jerry…Just when Tom manage to escape from a deadly trap set by Jerry,at the next second, he ended burning himself into a blackcat for whatever after reason that i dunno why also lar. So, in my case, when i come back with a small candle, the next thing, it was raining heavily immediately the next second! a bit cartoonish lar, but thats what i think mah

oh by the way, the dinner turn out to be disastrous anyhow. The rice was not properly cooked, fish not really well fried and my baked beans, they complaint that it wasnt really soft enough. sigh…..no ‘kung fu’ at all

So moral of the story : if you happen to share similar experience like that, this means you need to get involved more often in the kitchen lor, like me
